This critical position provides support to our Corporate Offices. The Network Administrator will be responsible for administrating and maintaining Chicago Windows based server infrastructure with an emphasis on Active Directory and Cisco infrastructure.





Job Responsibilities



Administer network servers, utilizing TCP/IP protocol.
Review server logs and research/resolve critical errors. Investigate user/server problems, identify their source and determine solutions, test and implement solutions.
Maintain network security by managing host security, file permissions, file system integrity, and adding and deleting users.
Conduct systems administration tasks, including performance monitoring/tuning, data replication synchronization.
Administer Active Directory - this will include adding/deleting users, creating security groups and distribution lists. Maintaining domain policies and new software deployment via Active Directory. Maintain and manage Distributed File System.
Maintain space availability on all servers.
Research compatibility and install security packs on Windows server systems as they become available. Maintain Software Update Services server.
Administer Symantec AntiVirus server. Administer and maintain MS SharePoint servers.
Rack new server and install Windows based OS.
Participate in the on-call schedule to provide emergency support via pager.
Research and participate in implementation of new technology.
Occasional support to Help Desk personnel on as needed basis.
Utilize project planning practices to focus and manage time, tasks and deliverables.
Meet deadlines and produce quality deliverables on-time.
Adhere to standardized workflow and processes.
Create and maintain current network documentation.


Job Location



Our US headquarters are located in one of Chicago's premier buildings, the NBC Tower. Nestled between Michigan Avenue and Lake Michigan, ComPsych's downtown Chicago location is easily accessible by public transportation and has plenty of parking nearby.

Requirements


Job Qualifications



Minimum 3 years of experience in network administration in Windows based environment.
Strong knowledge of MS Windows 2000 and 2003 servers, Exchange 2000 and 2003, Windows XP platforms, and MS Office suite.
Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Terminal Services.
Strong knowledge of DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP skills.
Able to participate in the on-call schedule to provide emergency support via pager. Rotation of responsibility requires that you carry pager ever 3rd or 4th week. You are also asked to respond to any critical incidents that require your expertise as necessary.
Experience working with mid to large scale servers/network environment a strong plus
Hands-on knowledge of Cisco PIX Firewalls, routers and managed L2 and L3 switches.
Previous SQL administration a plus.
Able to participate in the on-call schedule to provide emergency support via pager. Rotation of responsibility requires that you carry pager ever 3rd or 4th week. During your assigned rotation period you are expected to be available for calls 24 hours a day. At times, you may also be asked to respond to any critical incidents that require your expertise even if you are not on rotation.
