The Technical Analyst role works as a lead technical resource to maintain and upgrade PC¡¦s, servers, and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills and excellent communication skills as well.
Main Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Specify and monitor the support and troubleshooting of PC¡¦s and network equipment
- Specify, install, configure, administer, support and troubleshoot network servers
- Design, implement, support and troubleshooting network infrastructure and networking devices
- Support entire technical infrastructure including servers, switches, routers, firewalls and load balancers
- Develop, implement, and manage plans for infrastructure upgrades, technology assessments, and long-term solutions
- Specify and procure networking equipment and help manage networking vendors
- Develop procedures and documentation to support and help develop the infrastructure team
- Develop, estimate and propose technical solutions for business problems
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Assist in general IT activities
- Provide after-hours support for systems and applications
- Travel to remote offices up to 10% of time
Experience:
- 3+ years experience with network server applications including databases, web servers, FTP servers, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, and Unix
- 3+ years experience in designing, implementing, configuring and supporting IP networks including VPN’s and VLAN’s
- 2+ years experience in setup, configuration and maintenance of networking infrastructure including Cisco switches and routers, T1 and WAN configuration, administration, and troubleshooting, and managing ISP and other providers
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related field preferred
- Master’s degree a plus
- Certification in CCNA required
- CCNP and MCSE certification is a plus
