Genealogy research assistants needed immediately for projects in Chicago.
Are you looking for a fascinating job with flexibility and independence? Growing company seeks outstanding people to work as research assistants to help support professional genealogists.
The right candidate will be detailed-oriented and able to work independently. Other desired qualities would be research experience, time management skills, working to deadlines, and the ability to write interesting and compelling reports.
Family history projects will possibly include onsite research at the locations listed below. Additional libraries and archives might also be consulted as research progresses further. Records located during projects would need to be scanned on to a computer and sent via email to genealogist to meet project deadlines. If research is successful, ongoing part-time work might become available.

Extensive library research experience is helpful. Research in family tree research/genealogical records is required. Please send a copy of your most recent resume via email. Please email samples of your work (i.e. Gedcom files, family group sheets, pedigree charts, etc.) A college degree would be strongly preferred. A cover letter must also be submitted to be considered for this position.
Pay $12.00 per hour
