Description:

The Web Developer will focus on developing and maintaining all aspects of a website from the domain name and hosting to backend and database programming, with a focus on analytics and SEO.

Ideal candidate must possess an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems, as well as have proven experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Responsibilities Include:

Scripting and web application development
Developing and coding complex web solutions on the Microsoft .NET Platform
Testing websites, including checking for broken links, verifying Google Analytics, testing cross-browser consistency
Writing SQL stored procedures and queries
Collaboration with team members, sharing development responsibility
Working with members of diverse technical and business teams
Building and coding applications and/or modules using languages such as C#, Visual Basic.NET, PHP, XML, HTML, JavaScript, etc.
Providing maintenance and upgrades to existing systems
Manipulating and working with various XML files and formats, and administering and managing database systems
Designing graphical user interfaces (GUI) to meet the specific needs of users
Suggested Qualifications:
Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, CSS , DHTML, SQL, XML, ADO, ASP/ASP.NET, and Relational data modeling
Ability to work with existing PHP, ASP.NET (C#), and HTML code
Ability to convert designs and specifications into web applications
Ability to implement GUIs using ASP/ASP.NET, HTML, DHTML, PHP, and JavaScript
Ability to prototype, refine, system test, performance test, and debug applications
Familiarity with multiple server and desktop operating systems including Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Linux
Experience with secure coding principles and practices
Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
Be able to work at an abstract level and to set the technical direction in the context of ambiguity
Team software development experience
Excellent communication and writing skills
Experience with troubleshooting email and DNS problems
Experience with managing domain names and DNS and registering domain names
Experience using third party hosting providers and using FTP as well as PHP relational databases
Experience and/or familiarity with Subversion backup systems.
