Podiatric Practice

Internationally known Podiatric practice is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to assist patients and doctors in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidate will have some computer experience, great people and customer service skills, be very organized, and a quick learner. Position will involve minimal traveling between offices.

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

* patient registration * rooming patients * setting appointments and cancellations * phone operations * rooming patients * x-ray patients * phone and online insurance verification * clean/sterilize exam rooms * daily paperwork * cash handling * opening and closing office

Experience is preferred, but not necessary. Will train the right candidate.

Assist patients into exam rooms and prepares them for examination. Gathers patient’s history information and under the direction of the physician

Accurately and in a timely manner, documents patient care and related data in the electronic medical record
· Maintains record and logs as required and documents all patient contacts in the record
· Promptly answers and returns phone calls handling clinical concerns per physician’s orders in addition to calling in prescription refills per physician’s order
